National Conference and Workshop: Lifelong Learning in Action:The university, employers, trainers and the community working together

rganized within the context of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) initiative and with the generous support of the Romanian Ministry of Education, the conference aims to highlight the importance placed on continuous learning and re-training throughout the working lives of graduates and adult learners in Romania and the vital joint role that universities, colleges and employers must play in developing and supporting opportunities for continuous professional development (CPD) in the country.

Bringing together students, graduates, experts and community trainers, the conference will provide practical advice on how to implement lifelong learning strategies at the individual and institutional levels and demonstrate the value and importance that employers place on effective CPD when recruiting for sustainable growth, work practices and teams.

The event will also mark the opening of the first CPD and Lifelong Learning Centre at “Lucian Blaga” University, offering courses and diploma programs to the wider community of the Transylvania region. It will in conjunction signal the launch of the Employer Training Scholarship Initiative (ESTI) a unique scheme developed jointly with LBUS-BPTC and Pitman Training UK to help universities and employers work together on building learning and CPD programs that benefit the local community of graduates and non-graduates.

We look forward to welcoming you in Sibiu!
