The Conference is an integral component of the activities conducted by the RESEARCH CENTER IN MATHEMATICS AND APPLICATIONS at "Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu. It is specifically designed to facilitate high-level research presentations and foster the exchange of ideas within the domain of Approximation Theory and its associated topics.
Our distinguished friend and collaborator, Professor Ioan Rasa, turned 75 on November 15, 2026.
On this occasion, the ICATA 2026 conference is dedicated to the scientific work of Professor Ioan Rasa. The conference will primarily be held in person, but participation via Google Meet will also be possible.

The event will primarily take place in person, with the option for remote participation via Google Meet also available.
A special session will be scheduled for papers presented by PhD students.
Publication:
The journal General Mathematics is planning a special issue in honor of Professor Ioan Rasa on the occasion of his 75th anniversary. This special issue will include communications, original research articles, and review papers covering various topics related to Real and Functional Analysis and Approximation Theory.
