International Scientific Conference SAMRO 2016 will be held at Păltiniș, county of Sibiu, a mountain resort, located on the north – eastern part of the Cindrel mountains, in the middle of a pine forest, at 32 km from Sibiu, from which it is linked by a modernized road. Sibiu is one of the most important cities in Transylvania with a remarkable economic development potential, advantaged also by its positioning on pan-European Corridor IV and having a modern international airport. In 2007 Sibiu had the honour to bear the title of European Capital of Culture.

Located at just 32 km from Sibiu, in Păltiniș, Training and Research Centre of “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu alongside Păltiniș Hermitage represent the perfect location for for a conference that will stimulate, encourage and mobilize all the inventiveness and creativity.

For participants from abroad arriving in Romania by plane we recommend an air route that lead to the international airport in Sibiu (http://www.sibiuairport.ro). In order to be able to reach the international airport you can use the two major companies such as Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines. With Lufthansa you can get up to Sibiu no matter where you come by doing a stopover in Munich. With Austrian you can get up to Sibiu no matter where you come by doing a stopover in Vienna. We recommend you to choose Sibiu international airport because it is the easiest solution to get to Sibiu. From Sibiu International Airport you will reach Păltiniș very easy because you will tell us when you get here and we are waiting for at the airport in order to be able to lead you to your destination that is where the conference that you want to participate will take place.

For participants from abroad arriving in Romania by plane at Bucharest (http://www.bucharestairports.ro/en) we can tell you that the only way to get to Sibiu is by a rented car or with the bus

That is the reason why we recommend you to use priority the international airport from Sibiu (http://www.sibiuairport.ro). From the city of Sibiu you will get very easily to Păltiniș because you will tell us when you arrive at Sibiu and we’ll wait for you in order to be able to lead you to your destination that is where the conference that you want to participate will take place.

For Romanian participants we recommend the use of international airport of Sibiu or moving up to Sibiu by car, bus or train.
