The volume “Ferenda low proposals regarding the improvement of the labour law in Romania” includes the papers presented at the National Labour Law Conference, the 4th edition, organized by the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Faculty of Law, on October 10, 2014.

The scientific manifestation, attended by prestigious university professors and specialists in the field of labour law, had the objective of highlighting the conceptual, but also practical difficulties, found in applying the labour law norms, as well as identifying the regulatory lacunae, and based on those the formulation proposals of ferenda law for the improvement of the labour law. The proposals presented by the participants resulted from the non-correlation of the legal texts, the non-observance of the principles of law and of the international acts in this matter, of the CJUE jurisprudence, but also of the necessity of adapting the legislation to the new economic and social realities of Romania.

The participants, theorists and practitioners of labour law, considered the proposal ferenda law regarding the institutions analysed as a real benchmark for the improvement of labour legislation in our country. In this regard, they decided to remit the proposals made on this occasion to the Romanian Government in order to analyse them for future modification to the normative acts regarding labour relations.
