In 2026, the International Conference on Modelling and Development of Intelligent Systems reaches its 10th edition. Over the years, MDIS has become a consistent meeting point for researchers, academics, and professionals interested in intelligent systems and their applications. This anniversary edition continues our tradition of offering a solid scientific program, valuable discussions, and a supportive environment for sharing new ideas.
MDIS 2026 will take place on 26–28 November in Sibiu, Romania, a city known for its charm and hospitality. During this period, Sibiu also hosts its well-known Christmas Market, one of the most popular in Romania. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy both a high-quality scientific event and the festive atmosphere of the city.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sibiu for this special edition of the conference.
The MDIS 2026 conference is intended to be an onsite event.
The aim of the conference is to bring together computer scientists, mathematicians, researchers, and students interested in the topics of the conference. MDIS welcomes submissions of original papers on all aspects of modelling and development of intelligent systems, ranging from concepts and theoretical developments to advanced technologies and innovative applications.
The conference program will include Plenary Lectures (30 min) and Regular Lectures (20 min). Additional presentation formats may be announced later.
All submitted papers will undergo a thorough single-blind peer review; each paper will be evaluated by at least three independent experts in the field.
Paper acceptance and publication are based on relevance to the conference topics, clarity of presentation, originality, and the quality of results and proposed solutions.
The MDIS conference follows Springer Editorial Policies. https://www.springer.com/gp/authors-editors/journal-author/journal-author-helpdesk/editorial-policies/14214
One registration fee allows an author to register up to two papers.
A post-conference proceedings volume containing selected, refereed, presented, and accepted articles will be published by Springer in the series Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS).
CCIS is abstracted and indexed in DBLP, Google Scholar, EI-Compendex, Mathematical Reviews, SCImago, and Scopus. CCIS volumes are also submitted for inclusion in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoS).
The official language of the conference is English.
